How it works

Private browser processing

  • Upload a JPG, PNG, or WEBP image, or paste a public image URL when the source allows browser-side loading.
  • Adjust the quality slider to balance file size and visible detail.
  • Renderivo exports a compressed file in your browser and estimates the size change.

Ecommerce use cases

Where this helps

  • Reduce product image weight before uploading to a storefront.
  • Prepare faster-loading collection images and thumbnails.
  • Compress resized images before adding them to marketplace listings.

Common mistakes

What to check before publishing

  • Compressing too aggressively and losing important product detail.
  • Only changing quality while leaving huge pixel dimensions untouched.
  • Replacing original files before checking the compressed output at full size.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

Are my images uploaded?

No. This free tool processes images in your browser with canvas and blob APIs. Images are not uploaded to Renderivo.

Can I convert an image from a URL?

Yes, when the image is public and the remote host allows browser-side image loading with CORS. If the URL fails to load, download the file and upload it instead. Only use images you own or have permission to process.

Why did my PNG not shrink much?

PNG compression behaves differently from JPG/WebP. For smaller files, this tool may export PNG sources as WEBP.

What quality should I use?

A quality value around 0.8 is a practical starting point for ecommerce images.

When should I create a Renderivo account?

Create an account when you want saved history, longer storage, AI cleanup credits, batch workflows, reports, or API access.
